Seven NTPC stations bag National Awards

Seven Power Stations of NTPC Limited have bagged the prestigious National Meritorious Performance Awards instituted by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India for the year 2004-05 and 2005-06. NTPC -Ramagundam and Simhadri have received Gold Award for year 2004-05 and 2005-06 respectively. NTPC- Dadri received Silver Award for both 2004-05 and 2005-06, NTPC - Korba Silver for 2004-05. NTPC- Singrauli and Unchahar received Bronze Award for 2005-06.

The Awards were presented by the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, to Shri T. Sankaralingam, CMD, NTPC and General Managers of the respective Stations at a function held in New Delhi today. Shri Sushilkumar Shinde , Union Minister of Power was also present on the occasion.

National Awards to Power Utilities for meritorious performance have been instituted by the Ministry of Power to inculcate competitive spirit and to motivate the power Utilities to achieve higher levels of performance.
