Prime Minister greets nation on Chaitra Sukladi, Gudi Padava, Ugadi, Cheti Chand

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the Nation on the occasion of Chaitra Sukladi, Gudi Padava, Ugadi, and Cheti Chand which will be celebrated tomorrow in different parts of the country.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that these festivals not only signify the amazing cultural diversity of our country but also attest to its underlying unity. These traditional New Year festivals are occasions of joy and happiness and provide us an occasion to look forward to the future with hope.

May these festivals usher in peace, prosperity and harmony to all, Dr. Manmohan Singh added.
