Himachal registers 1000 crore rupees investment during last six months

Himachal Pradesh has attracted an industrial investment of rupees one thousad crore during last six months of BJP regime in the state said sh Rajeev bindal himachal health minister while speaking on the inauguration of himachal day function in India international trade fair 2008 held at lal chowk theatre in pragati maidan new delhi.

Sh Rajeev bindal said that state govt has set a target to attract additional industrial investment of rupees five thousand crore till march 2010 under special industrial package and added that so far 7025 crore rupees investment has been registered under 35000 industrial units under the package in the state .he told that 30000 people have been provided employement in various industrial units I n the state set up under special industrial package .he said that industrial investment worth rupees 7136 crores were cleared under state level single window scheme between January 2008 to September 2008 which will provide direct employement to 18000 youths in the state. He told that state govt has set up 6000 bigha land bank in six districts of the state to provide land for new industrial units and added that state govt will set up commercial centre with cost of 10.80 crore at baddi in solan district to promote the exports in the state and added that a container depot will be set up on 80 bigha land to facilitate the export oriented units in the state.

Sh Rajeev bindal told that state govt has signed agreement with GAIL to to study the feasibility of extending the 610 KM Dadri-Bawana-Nangal natural gas pipeline to the state and added that Under the agreement, the GAIL would work on a joint exercise to assess the demand potential of natural gas and allied products in the state . Dadri-Bawana-Nangal is a 610-km pipeline project, which would pass through UP, Delhi, Haryana and Punjab.

He said that GAIL will use its technical and commercial expertise to study the various options and collate the gas demand potential of Himachal Pradesh and Department of Industries of the HP government would facilitate information pertaining to fertiliser, power, industry, domestic and transport sectors, which have potential to consume gas and CHG as fuel, he added.

Sh Rajeev bindal health minister told that the Gas pipeline will bring clean and environment friendly fuel to various consumers in the region, which include Industrial, domestic and transport sectors. The availability of gas in the region would herald the use of a more efficient energy resource, which will increase the competitive edge of the industries using natural gas and added that GAIL has already conducted the sample survey of the industrial areas of the state and its results have been very encouraging.

Sh Rajeev bindal told that state govt is preparing the 20 years tourism master plan of the state under which a comprehensive plan would be formulated to promote rural, cultural ,heritage and adventurous tourism in the state . he state that state govt is taking various steps to promote high spending tourist in the state and atttact 10 lakhs foreign tourists annually in the state .he said that state govt will actively involve pvt sector to set up ropeways,helli taxi services and helipads in the state to expand tourism infrastructure in the state.

He told that according to national family survey the state has been declared as most peaceful in domestic peace and told that as against the national average of 46% domestic violence only 6% domestic violence cases has been registered in the state and told that hilly women are enjoying the most vibrant and happy married life in the country . he said that use of contraceptive has been recorded as highest in the country and told that 76% young couples are using contraceptives in the state as against 39% at the national level. He told that child mortality rate has been lowest while the vaccination has been highest in the country according to the national survey conducted recently.

A colourful cultural programme was also organised on this occasion.
