Shakti Pumps Commences commercial production in plant at SEZ, Pithampur, Indore, M.P.

Shakti Pumps India Ltd has announced that the Company has in a record time completed the setting up of 200,000 pumps manufacturing plant at SEZ, pithampur, Indore. The plant is the state-of-the-art automated plant. The Company is pleased to announce that the plant has started the commercial production from March 16, 2007.

With the commencement of SEZ plant the Company will enjoy the tax holidays, low power cost, beneficial labour policy and substantially higher plant capacity. The SEZ plant will increase the productivity and reduce operating cost. This will result in substantial upside to the turnover and profits in the coming year. With the total capacity of 255,000 pumps the Company will aggressively market the pumps in International as well as Domestic markets.
