Dishman Pharmaceuticals JV in Japan with Azzurro Corporation

Dishman Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals Ltd has announces a marketing Joint Venture (JV) in Japan with Azzurro Corporation. The Company will held 85% stake and Azzurro will have 15% in this JV. Azzurro is a 30 year-old marketing firm and well-known in Japanes market. New Company will be called DISHMAN JAPAN LTD (DJL) and its office will be located in Tokyo.

DJL will market the products and services of DISHMAN CARBOGEN-AMCIS AG, Switzerland and of SYNPROTEC DCR LTD., UK in Japan and South Korea. Mr. Takeshi Yokouchi will head DJL as Managing Director. He has 35 years of rich experience in marketing of Pharma and Fine Chemical Products in Japan and Far East Countries.

By establishing the Company in Japan, the Company can cater to the Japanese market through DJL, or directly from India, as per the comfort of the clients in Japan.

The Company consider this as an extremely important step forward since Japan Government has announced an open door policy for API's and intermediates and many Japanese Companies are looking for suitable partners for contract research and API contract manufacturing on long-term basis.
