Ankur Drugs & Pharma signs Term Sheet with "Labtech" of GMBH-Germany & APR

Ankur Drugs & Pharma Ltd has announced that the Company has signed a "Term Sheet" jointly with "Labtech" of GMBH- Germany & APR (Applied Pharma Research) for a exclusive "Intellectual property rights" for a novel technology.

For requisite machines and equipment, the Company has associated with "Optimags" - Germany (a special coating line) and with "Siebler"( Romaco group)- Germany (Packing line) Viz Rapid film for Ondansetrone, Donepezil- Hcl, Ketotifen Fumarate, Baclofe, Rivastigmine, Sildenafil Citrate, Glimepiride and Olanzapine.

This will be first ever Indian Company launching "Rapid film" in India and other territories. The exclusive manufacturing right has been granted for initial 15 years, for the territories Viz. India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan & Afghanistan.

The Company has also tied-up technology for exclusive manufacturing & marketing rights of "Fantanyl" (territories : South East Asia: such as India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Casachstan, North Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives; Mangolia, Myanmar, Timor-leste, Philipines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand & Vietnam & and all countries of South Africa East Africa and central Africa, except North Africa )and "Cold fleece" -Transdermal Patches (for the territories India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Afghanistan)

Commercial launch of these products are expected to start in January 2008.

The share price was trading up by 8.37% at Rs.237, compared to its previous close of Rs.218.70. 112453 shares changed hands in BSE at a weighted average price of Rs.228.29.
