Pyramid Saimira forms Strategic Alliance with Moser Baer

Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd has announced that the Company has signed MOU with M/s. Moser Baer India Ltd, New Delhi for the following:

- Moser Baer will be releasing the new films of the Company in Home Video format within a short period of releasing them in theatres. The Company is planning to release around 100 films in South India and Moser Baer will be releasing them in Home Video format across the country. To begin with, Moser Baer will be releasing the Company's new Tamil film "MOZHI" (released on February 23, 2007 and doing Houseful across the world) starring Prakash Raj, Jothika, Prithviraj, Sornamalya and others in Home Videos within a short span of time to offer original home videos to Indian consumers.

- The profits arriving out of this titles will be shared equally by Moser Baer and the Company, including revenue generated from Advertisement in VCD / DVD.

- Moser Baer's range of Home Video titles will be available at all the theatres owned / managed by the Company, which will benefit all the viewers at these theatres to buy their own collection of Home Videos and will enable Moser Baer to reach out to more consumers through this retail chain.

- The Company to release films produced or distributed by Moser Baer in their Theatres also.

Indian market for Home Video is dominated by Piracy and is estimated to be over Rs 5000 Crores. The availability of DVD with full Copyrights at far cheaper price points than the pirated price points will kill the piracy market and also expand the Home Video Segment. The Company's tie-up with Moser Baer will also prove that the Home Video and Theatrical release are complementary and the success of theatrical release will amplify Home Viewing. The Company also will greatly benefit in expanding its reach and brand across Home Viewing Segment, which will lead to much greater exploitation of Content.
