Cairn India Ltd appoints Indrajit Banerjee as new CFO

Cairn India Ltd has announced that Indrajit Banerjee as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO"). Indrajit, aged 50, will assume his responsibilities and join the board of directors of the Company on March 01, 2007.

Indrajit will replace Jann Brown, who will step down as interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company with effect from March 01, 2007.
