Kalpataru Power denies on plans to acquire assets of Globaleq

With reference to the news item appearing in a leading financial daily regarding Tata, Kalpataru in race for Globeleq by Gayatri Ramanathan dated February 06, 2007, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd has clarified that "Mr. Dutta, the article mentions that Kalpataru group is looking at acquiring the assets of British power major Globeleq. I would like to bring to your notice here, that we have no such plans of acquiring Globeleq nor did the spokesperson share any such information with Ms. Ramanathan.

Kalpataru Group does have a strong presence in Africa, however we are not fore seeing at acquiring Globaleq assets. The information stated in the article is absolutely spurious one as we have not let out any such information in oral or written to the journalist."
