The biggest platform for Indian and Chinese entrepreneurs to interact with each other, the China Products (Mumbai India) Exhibition is to be held in Mumbai, India for the seventh time from 10th Dec  12th Dec 09. This global, annual event facilitates striking of deals, joint ventures and signing of major contracts between Indian and Chinese businessmen. The 3 day event  which saw 40,000 visitors from across Asia in the previous years - resulted in business deals worth about Rs 70 cr which is likely to go upto Rs 100 cr this year.
The last year saw a lot of fluctuations on the international front, the repercussions of which are still felt today. However, the trade scenario between India and China just keeps on getting better and better. Bilateral trade which rose 34% to $51.8 billion in 2008 is likely cross the $100 billion mark within the next 5 years.
China is aggressively pursuing partnerships and business plans with India as the two countries are expected to dominate the world trade in the years to come. Reflecting this optimism, the current trade show has recorded a massive jump in the number of booths to a record high of over 260 covering an extensive range of products across a wide section of industries like building, construction and interiors, cosmetic and beauty products, diesel engine and diesel generator sets, electrical appliances, electronics, fabrics and garments, food and beverages, gifts and toys, glassware, handicrafts, hardware and tools, health and hygiene, home appliances, industrial products, sanitary ware, stationery, water pumps etc.
The trade show is being organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Sub-councils of Commercial Industry, Guangdong, Ningbo and Hangzhou.
