India 352/1 - Sehwag, Gambhir slam centuries

Kanpur - November 24, 2009: India were 352/1 in the third session of play on the opening day of the second cricket test against Sri Lanka at Kanpur.

The Indian Openers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir scored centuries to give a solid foundation for an imposing total. The opening pair starred in a record 233-run stand before Sehwag was out for 131 from 122 balls, with 18 boundaries and 2 sixes.

India cruised to 307 for one at tea on the opening day of the second cricket Test against Sri Lanka.

Gautam Gambhir was playing at 159 and Rahul Dravid was at 49 giving company in the other end.

Today was Mahendra Singh Dhoni's day right from toss. Dhoni won the toss and opted to bat first hoping that the star studded Indian line-up would post an imposing total.
