Uttam Sugar allots 7 lakh 6.5% Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares

Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd has announced that Preference Share Allotment Committee at its meeting held on November 19, 2009 have issued & allotted 7,00,000 6.5% Redeemable Cumulative Preference Shares of Rs. 100/- each for cash at par totaling amount of Rs. 7,00,00,000/- to the entities forming part of Promoter group. Consequently, with effect from November 19, 2009, the Issued and Subscribed Preference Share Capital of the Company stands increased to Rs. 36,35,00,000/- divided into 36,35,000 Redeemable Cumulative Preference Shares of Rs. 100/- each.

The stock closed the day at Rs.65, up by Rs.0.65 or 1.01%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.65 and low of Rs.61.15.
