Marico allots 15100 shares

Marico Ltd has announced that the Corporate Governance Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company met on October 28, 2009 and allotted 15,100 equity shares of the Company of the face value of Re. 1 each under the existing Marico Employees Stock Options Scheme 2007.

Consequent to the above allotment, the paid-up share capital of the Company has increased from 60,91,63,800 equity shares of Re. 1/- each aggregating Rs. 60,91,63,800 to 60,91,78,900 equity shares of Re. 1/- each aggregating Rs. 60,91,78,900.

The stock closed the day at Rs.97.75, up by Rs.1.05 or 1.09%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.100.10 and low of Rs.95.10.

The total traded quantity was 270875 compared to 2 week average of 172853.
