Jet Airways to raise US$ 400 million

Jet Airways India Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on July 24, 2009, inter alia, has taken note of the resignation of Dr. Pierre Jeanniot from the Directorship of the Company with effect from July 21, 2009, due to personal reasons.

The Board approved the raising of additional capital to the extent of USD 400 million, subject to necessary approvals.

The stock closed the day at Rs.247, up by Rs.1.05 or 246%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.252.05 and low of Rs.246.

The total traded quantity was 109139 compared to 2 week average of 81609.
