First dual specialization Executive Post Graduate Programme in India launched by IIM, Kozikode in partnership with Hughes Communications

Bangalore, June 9, 2009: Indian Institute of Management, Khozikode (IIMK) today announced the launch of Executive Post Graduate Programme (ePGP), as part of its management programmes in partnership with Hughes Communications. ePGP is the first of its kind to be offered in India, designed exclusively for working professionals.

The two-year Post Graduate Diploma programme will entail a combination of interactive distance learning and on campus learning sessions with the faculty from IIMK and other visiting faculty from reputed academic institutions and industry. The first year will cover 27 courses in general management spread over two terms with 450 hours of instruction of which 75 hours on campus and the remaining 375 hours on interactive learning platform. In the second year, students have to choose two specialization modules from among Operations Management, Strategic Management, Marketing and Finance. Each specialization will be for 180 hours each.

This course is designed to provide working professionals from varied backgrounds, a thorough understanding of specialized management functions and thus enable them to advance in their careers by way of promotions and better jobs in areas of their interest and is similar to the Residential PGP program available at IIMK'

Interested candidates will undergo a selection based on Executive Management Aptitude Test (eMAT) conducted by IIMK every year and the interviews, through IOL platform, of the short-listed candidates based on the eMAT. Entry to ePGP is restricted to Graduates/CA/ICWA having at least 5 years of work experience. A fee of Rs. 4, 97,000 would be charged for the complete course.
