Banks revise Benchmark Prime Lending Rate, PNB, BOB announce 50 basis points increase

Public sector banks have revised the Benchmark Prime Lending Rates. The banks have increased BPLR by 50 basis points.

Punjab National Bank has announced that it has decided to increase the BPLR from the existing level of 11.75% p.a. to 12.25% p.a. w.e.f. February 15, 2007.

Further the Bank has informed that, on February 14, 2007 the Bank has opened Capital Market Service branch in New Delhi.

Bank of Baroda (BOB) has announced that the Bank has decided to increase its Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR) by 50 basis points from 12.00% p.a. to 12.50% p.a. with effect from February 15, 2007.
