Patni Computer steers Xtreme on High-Performance manufacturing path

Patni Computer Systems Ltd on December 06, 2006 has announced the successful implementation of SSA ERP LN 6.1 for Xtreme Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of forward-reach rough terrain fork lifts. Xtreme is well known in the infrastructure and construction industry for its range of forklifts, easy loader truck beds and miscellaneous steel structures and support equipments.

The Company used its rapid implementation methodology to reduce the timeline. This lean methodology is most suited for organizations aiming to deploy out-of-the-box application. The Company’s proprietary industry specific templates were deployed to accelerate the ‘product mapping' phase.

The Company's project management skills, technical proficiency in SSA ERP LN and understanding of mixed-mode manufacturing came to the forefront in the successful completion of this challenging project. Based on the implementation roadmap finalized, the Company conducted a structured review of Xtreme’s processes like finance, inventory management and production planning. This comprehensive exercise enabled the Company in realigning the processes to the functional specifications of ERP LN.
