              Ms. Lekha Sishta Awarded "Woman Super Achiever" of the Year 2009
India, February 16, 2009 — SumTotal® Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SUMT), the market leader and global provider of talent development solutions, today announced that Ms. Lekha Sishta, VP – HR & Talent Management, SumTotal Systems, received the "Women Super Achievers Award" at the Global HR Excellence Awards 2009 organized by World HRD Congress in Mumbai. Sishta is one amongst the nine women who have received this award.
The award, Women Super Achievers, has honored Lekha's contribution in the field of Human Resource and her rich experience of more than 28 years. Given for thought-leadership and excellence in HR practices, it is indeed a Lifetime Achievement Award for Sishta.
Lekha Sishta is educated at some of the best academic institutions in India. Having completed her graduation in Economics Honours from Delhi University, she is a post-graduate in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. At SumTotal Systems India, she is responsible for the end-to-end Human Capital function.
Accepting the award, Ms. Sishta said, "It is inspiring to see the number of women who are successful and leading India in the field of Human Resource, and I hope such awards give way to more women achieving such heights in future. I am truly privileged to be looked upon as an example of a woman achiever and this award not only provides recognition but also acts as a source of motivation to scale further pinnacles."
With 28 years of experience ranging across industry and academia, Sishta commenced her career with NTPC in 1980. She joined SumTotal Systems three years ago, and has thoroughly enjoyed being engaged in creating a high-performance culture at this global leader in Talent Development.
She recently won the 2008 HR Manager of the Year Award from Hyderabad Management Association (HMA).
The World HRD congress is a large gathering of HR professionals from across several countries. The three day conference on "HR-Shaping the Future" was held on 5-7 February 2009 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. This platform aims at knowledge sharing and also recognizes HR PROFESSIONALS who have achieved the best of best in their careers and are role models.
The congress was attended by the HR professionals from across public and private sectors of different industry verticals and had representatives from 64 countries.
