Financial Technologies India Ltd has announced that Mr Jignesh Shah, CMD of Financial Technologies Group and MD & CEO of Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), will be honoured with the US India Business Leadership Award (2005-2006) on November 15, 2006, by Senator Hillary Clinton.
The event, organised by USINPAC (US Indian Political Action Committee) and USIBA (US India Business Alliance), will be held at the Washington DC, in the presence of notable business and political dignitaries.
The function will begin at noon with an introduction by Mr Sanjay Puri, Chairman, USINPAC and CEO, USIBA. This will be followed by a keynote address by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Mr Shah will also have a private meeting with Ms Clinton later.
Mr Shah is being honoured for his "outstanding contribution as a serial entrepreneur to integrate rural India with global markets". The award is a global recognition of Mr Shah’s pioneering efforts at integrating rural India with the global markets, and at being a catalyst in promoting closer business ties between the two countries.
The event will be followed by a photo session and lunch. Post lunch, a talk is scheduled on the topic "India 2.0: Emerging global financial markets hub’.
