Classic Diamonds to consider stock split

Classic Diamonds India Ltd has announced that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on November 09, 2006, inter alia, to transact the following:

1. To consider Scheme of Amalgamation of M/s. Purvi Diamonds Pvt Ltd (Transferor Co.) with the Company (Transferee Co.).

2. To seek in principle approval of the Board to raise funds for overseas acquisitions valuing 100$ million.

3. To get the approval of the Board for Splitting of the shares from Rs 10 to Rs 2 per share.
