Union Bank of India posts net profit of Rs.166.81 Crores, down 31% YOY

Union Bank of India has announced the following Unaudited Results for the quarter ended June 30, 2006:

The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 1668.10 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 (Q1 FY 06-07) as compared to Rs 2403.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q1 FY 05-06). Total Income has increased from Rs 14914.50 million in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 18307.20 million for Q1 FY 06-07.
