Tata Steel clarifies on news item regarding bid for Brazilian company

With reference to the news item appearing in leading English daily titled "Tata-Corus may bid for Brazil's biggest steel firm", Tata Steel Ltd has clarified to BSE that the news item is speculative and based on unsubstantiated sources. It is not true and would mislead the Company's Shareholders.
