Hexaware's Tech Summit 2006 Kick starts in Chennai

Hexaware Technologies Ltd has announced that the Company has on October 28, 2006 inaugurated Tech Summit 2006 at the Chennai Trade Center in Chennai.

The summit was inaugurated by Mr Shankar Annaswamy, MD, IBM India along with Mr Atul Nishar, founder and Chairman, of the Company.

Speaking at the inauguration, Nishar said, "The Tech Summit is aimed at providing a platform to all Hexawarians to hone their skills and in the process create industry leaders".

The Tech Summit is an opportunity for software professionals in the Company to showcase their capabilities and contribute in building higher value to the Company's customers. Besides the white papers and presentations, several Center of Excellences (COE) have also been arranged at the Summit. This year the theme of the two-day Tech Summit was ‘Building Value for Customers’.

In his key not speech, Annaswamy said, "India’s talent will be a key source of global innovation in the coming years."

He later released Hexaware’s Tech Journal which is dedicated to the technical landscape and knowledge gained by company executives.

Thirteen COEs representing the Company's expertise in various verticals and technologies like Trans Legacy Modernization, HR-IT and more have been set-up at Trade Center. Hexawarians can get a taste of new developments in these areas and augment their knowledge.

The Company employs 5487 software professionals globally. More than 1700 Hexawarians based in Chennai will benefit from the summit. Tech Summit 2006 is the largest employee summit ever organized in the history of the Company.

A similar summit is planned in Mumbai in the first week of November.

The Company also has the distinction of being among India’s best Employers and is ranked No 6 on Dataquest-IDC’s Annual Best Employer Survey this year.
