Rolta India Appoints New Director-Finance & Chief Financial Officer

Mumbai, October 30, 2006 - Rolta India Limited, one of India's leading IT companies, specializing in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Engineering Design Automation (EDA) and Solutions (eS) today anno unced the appointment Mr.Hiranya Ashar as Chief Financial Officer and Dire ctor-Finance on the Board of the company.

Earlier the Board took on record the resignation of Mr.V.L.Ganesh as Director-Financ e and Chief Financial Officer of the company with effect from the close of the company’s business day October 31, 2006. Mr.K.K.Singh, Chairman and Managing Director placed on record the appreciation for his valuable contribution to the company.

Mr.Hiranya Ashar is a commerce graduate and an Associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has experience in finance, accounts, taxation and audit. He has rich experience of managing corporate finance, project management, financial planning & analysis, budgetary control, fund management, taxation, audit, fund raising through IPOs / GDRs and investor relations. His analytical, management and leadership skills would benefit the company.

Mr. Hiranya Ashar is currently Senior Executive Director-Finance & Investor Relations at Rolta and has been promoted to this position.
