Hinduja TMT commences Operations in Mysore

Hinduja TMT Ltd on October 30, 2006 has announced the launch of it's Mysore Centre of Excellence. The new hub will be a 1,000 seater and is expected to grow to become a 2,000 people strong center in two years. This launch marks the foray of the Company into Tier II cities. The Company is also looking at expanding operations to other Tier II cities in the Northern and the Eastern regions of the country. The operations at the HTMT's Mysore Centre of Excellence will initially cater to the domestic markets and servicing of international clientele will commence once operations are In full swing. The Company is expected to make an investment of around 20 crores in 2 years.

Mr. S N Narasimha Murthy, Senior Vice President - Domestic Markets and Transition, of the Company said, "The opening of HTMT’s Mysore Centre of Excellence signals the stat of our expansion into Tier II cities in the country. Further, HTMT will be able to leverage its technology and delivery platforms acros the CoE’s to deliver best in class customer experience. These centers will initially cater to national clients and host some international pilots at a later date which will enable the Company to acquire a more diverse clientele who may need scalability and redundancy".

"We believe that the strong education system in the country will be able to deliver and sustain the robust growth plans that we have for the center. The talent that is available here is at par with the talent base that we have pan India and hope that by moving here we will have better access to manpower which will also help in containing attrition rates," added Mr. Satya Sai Sylada, Head HR (India and Mauritius).
