India Pesticides Limited Reports Q1 FY27 Net Profit of ₹23 Crore; Operational Revenue at ₹256 Crore

Leading agrochemical manufacturer India Pesticides Limited (BSE: 543311 | NSE: IPL) announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27).

The company posted operational revenue of ₹256 crore and a net profit of ₹23 crore during the quarter, supported by steady international exports despite softer domestic demand for key herbicide molecules.

Financial Performance Highlights

India Pesticides recorded the following performance metrics for Q1 FY27 compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal (Q1 FY26):

Revenue from Operations: Stood at ₹256 crore in Q1 FY27, down 9.2% YoY from ₹282 crore in Q1 FY26. The top-line decline was primarily attributed to softer demand for the company's key herbicide technical, Pretilachlor.

Export Sales: Rose marginally to ₹89 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹87 crore in Q1 FY26, backed by stable demand across international markets.

EBITDA & Margins: Operating EBITDA stood at ₹39 crore with an EBITDA margin of 15.4%, compared to ₹52 crore and an 18.4% margin in Q1 FY26.

Profit Before Tax (PBT): Reported at ₹31 crore, reflecting a PBT margin of 12.2%.

Net Profit (PAT): Reached ₹23 crore with a PAT margin of 8.9%, compared to ₹35 crore and a PAT margin of 12.3% in Q1 FY26.

Operational Expenditure & Key Notes

Job Work Processing Charges: Other expenses for the quarter included job work processing charges of ₹14 crore, up from ₹8 crore in Q1 FY26. The increase was driven by higher job-work conversion volumes along with an increase in processing rates per kg.

Executive Recognition: Mr. Dheeraj Kumar Jain, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of India Pesticides Limited, has been conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award by the PMFAI Agribusiness Foundation.

Commenting on the performance, Mr. Dheeraj Kumar Jain, Chief Executive Officer said: "We commenced FY27 amid a challenging operating environment in the domestic agrochemical market. Revenue from Operations was at Rs. 256 crores, while EBITDA was at Rs. 39 crores with an EBITDA margin of 15.4%. Softer demand for the Company's key herbicide, Pretilachlor, impacted domestic sales during the quarter, while export sales remained stable. Higher employee and fuel costs, along with elevated channel inventory, impacted profitability. However, the Company continued to focus on operational efficiency, cost management, and disciplined execution.

During the quarter, we achieved an important milestone with the receipt of Technical Equivalence (TEQ) approval from the European Union for one of our fungicide products. This approval strengthens our presence in international markets, enhances our ability to serve global customers, and creates opportunities for expanding our export business. This achievement reflects our continued focus on innovation, product development, and strengthening our position as a trusted partner in the global agrochemical industry.
