VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) Reports July 2026 Sales Figures: Total Volumes Up 15.8% YoY

Eicher Motors Limited has released the official sales volume figures for its commercial vehicle joint venture, VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) (a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors), for the month of July 2026 and the cumulative April-July period for FY 2026-27.
Driven by strong domestic demand in the Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) and Light to Medium Duty (LMD) truck segments, total VECV sales (inclusive of Electric Vehicles) grew 15.8% year-on-year (YoY) in July 2026 to reach 8,241 units, compared to 7,115 units in July 2025.

1. Total Eicher Trucks & Buses
July 2026: 8,045 units vs. 6,940 units in July 2025 (+15.9% YoY).
FY27 YTD (April-July): 32,262 units vs. 28,113 units in FY26 (+14.8% YoY).
2. Domestic Sales Breakdown
Domestic sales under the Eicher brand reached 7,575 units in July 2026, marking an 18.2% YoY growth over 6,410 units sold in July 2025.
SCV / LMD Trucks (< 18.5T): 4,394 units vs. 3,409 units in July 2025 (+28.9% YoY). Cumulative FY27 YTD sales reached 15,760 units (+25.5%).
Heavy Duty (HD) Trucks (≥ 18.5T): 1,916 units vs. 1,692 units in July 2025 (+13.2% YoY). Cumulative FY27 YTD sales reached 7,191 units (+14.7%).
LMD Buses: 1,145 units vs. 1,148 units in July 2025 (-0.3% YoY). Cumulative FY27 YTD sales reached 6,965 units (+4.4%).
HD Buses: 120 units vs. 161 units in July 2025 (-25.5% YoY). Cumulative FY27 YTD sales stood at 426 units (-33.6%).
3. VECV Export Performance
Total exports under the VECV banner contracted by 11.3% YoY in July 2026 to 470 units (vs. 530 units in July 2025), reflecting global market headwinds across certain regions:
SCV / LMD Exports: 313 units vs. 320 units (-2.2% YoY).
HD Exports: 92 units vs. 95 units (-3.2% YoY). Note: On a cumulative FY27 YTD basis, HD exports remain up significantly by +67.3% (410 units vs. 245 units).
Bus Exports: 65 units vs. 115 units (-43.5% YoY).
4. Volvo Trucks & Buses
July 2026: 196 units vs. 175 units in July 2025 (+12.0% YoY).
FY27 YTD (April-July): 794 units vs. 612 units in FY26 (+29.7% YoY).
