Urban Company Limited (formerly known as Urbanclap Technologies India Limited) has released its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The home services platform demonstrated robust top-line momentum with consolidated operational revenue rising over 43% year-over-year, alongside a sequential reduction in net losses.

Consolidated Revenue Highlights and Top-Line Growth

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Urban Company recorded consolidated revenue from operations of ₹528.34 crore, marking a 43.86% expansion compared to ₹367.27 crore in Q1 FY26 and a 24.15% sequential gain over ₹425.56 crore reported in Q4 FY26.

Including other income of ₹37.83 crore, total consolidated income reached ₹566.17 crore for the quarter, up 42.08% from ₹398.49 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Segmental Breakdown and Business Performance

The growth during Q1 FY27 was driven across all major operational segments:

India Consumer Services (excluding InstaHelp): Total segment revenue reached ₹356.42 crore, up from ₹271.61 crore in Q1 FY26. This comprised ₹290.23 crore from service offerings and ₹66.19 crore from product sales. The segment generated a profit of ₹82.02 crore, compared to ₹35.64 crore in Q4 FY26.

Native: Revenue grew to ₹95.28 crore from ₹59.55 crore in Q1 FY26, with segment loss narrowing slightly to ₹(7.75) crore.

International Business: Revenue increased to ₹65.42 crore compared to ₹35.89 crore in Q1 FY26, turning a segment profit of ₹3.16 crore.

InstaHelp: Operations generated ₹11.22 crore in revenue compared to ₹0.22 crore in Q1 FY26, recording a segment loss of ₹(131.58) crore.

Overall consolidated segment results stood at a loss of ₹(54.15) crore, recovering from a segment loss of ₹(86.43) crore in the preceding quarter ended March 31, 2026.

Consolidated Expenses and Cost Analysis

Total consolidated expenses for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹639.88 crore, compared to ₹384.25 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹556.85 crore in Q4 FY26. Key cost contributors included:

Other Expenses: ₹369.85 crore (up from ₹193.28 crore in Q1 FY26)

Employee Benefits Expense: ₹151.15 crore (including ₹38.49 crore in share-based payment expenses)

Purchases of Stock-in-Trade: ₹110.82 crore

Changes in Inventories: ₹(10.84) crore

Depreciation and Amortization Expense: ₹15.79 crore

Finance Costs: ₹3.11 crore

Earnings, Taxes, and Net Loss Trajectory

Prior to accounting for joint ventures and exceptional items, the consolidated loss before tax stood at ₹(73.71) crore. After incorporating a ₹(4.77) crore share of net loss from its Joint Venture and an exceptional item expense of ₹5.27 crore, the total loss before tax measured ₹(83.75) crore.

Tax Expense: Recorded at ₹8.37 crore (entirely deferred tax).

Consolidated Net Loss: Reached ₹(92.12) crore, recovering from a net loss of ₹(161.16) crore in Q4 FY26, though lower than the net profit of ₹6.94 crore reported in Q1 FY26.

Total Comprehensive Loss: Measured at ₹(86.88) crore, after factoring in ₹5.24 crore in other comprehensive income.

Earnings Per Share (EPS): Basic and diluted EPS improved sequentially to ₹(0.60) per equity share (face value ₹1/- each), compared to ₹(1.08) in Q4 FY26 and ₹0.05 in Q1 FY26.

As of June 30, 2026, Urban Company's paid-up equity share capital stood at ₹147.26 crore (face value ₹1/- per share), up from ₹48.98 crore as of June 30, 2025. Other equity was reported at ₹1,997.37 crore on a consolidated basis and ₹2,489.91 crore on a standalone basis as of March 31, 2026.
