NHPC Ltd signs MoA with Government of Arunachal Pradesh for Etalin HEP

NHPC Limited has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Government of Arunachal Pradesh today i.e. 16.06.2026 for implementation of Etalin HEP (3097 MW). The brief of MoA is as under:

i. Grant of permission by the State Government to NHPC to undertake preliminary investigation for preparation of the Pre-feasibility Report, detailed investigation for DPR preparation, financing and subsequent development, commissioning, implementation, operation and maintenance of Etalin HEP (3097 MW) being established on Dri & Tangon rivers in Dibang Basin of the State of Arunachal Pradesh.

ii. The project shall be implemented by NHPC on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis for lease period of 40 (forty) years from the Commercial Operating Date (COD).

iii. The project shall be developed as a run-of the river Scheme in tune with the State of Arunachal Pradesh Hydro Power Policy, 2008 and the amendments thereto.

Shares of NHPC Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 74.78 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 74.61. The total number of shares traded during the day was 294523 in over 1971 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 74.92 and intraday low of 74.42. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 21995365.00.
