Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited (NUPPL), a Joint Venture between NLC India Limited (51%) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) (49%), is delighted to announce that Unit-3 (660 MW) of the Ghatampur Thermal Power Project has successfully achieved Commercial Operation Declaration (COD) effective from 00:00 hours on June 13, 2026.
With the declaration of COD of Unit-3, the Ghatampur Thermal Power Station (3×660 MW) stands fully commissioned and is now under commercial operation. This milestone will significantly strengthen the reliable and sustainable power supply to the State of Uttar Pradesh while contributing substantially to meeting the nation's growing energy requirements. With this, NLCIL group over all installed capacity increased from 7745 MW to 8405 MW.
