Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Ltd commissions Unit 3 of Ghatampur Thermal Power Project

Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited (NUPPL), a Joint Venture between NLC India Limited (51%) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) (49%), is delighted to announce that Unit-3 (660 MW) of the Ghatampur Thermal Power Project has successfully achieved Commercial Operation Declaration (COD) effective from 00:00 hours on June 13, 2026.

With the declaration of COD of Unit-3, the Ghatampur Thermal Power Station (3×660 MW) stands fully commissioned and is now under commercial operation. This milestone will significantly strengthen the reliable and sustainable power supply to the State of Uttar Pradesh while contributing substantially to meeting the nation's growing energy requirements. With this, NLCIL group over all installed capacity increased from 7745 MW to 8405 MW.

Shares of NLC India Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 316.15 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 310.05. The total number of shares traded during the day was 245051 in over 2665 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 319.75 and intraday low of 311.55. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 77504633.00.
