NBCC Lands ₹252.80 Crore Project for Odisha School Infrastructure

NBCC (India) Limited, a leading central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has secured a significant project management consultancy (PMC) contract in the education sector. The company announced it has been tasked with upgrading primary school infrastructure across the state of Odisha.

Project Scope and Client Details

The contract was awarded by the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA), based in Bhubaneshwar. The project involves the second phase of a state-wide educational enhancement initiative:

Project Name: Implementation of the Godabarisha Mishra Adarsha Prathamika Vidyalaya (GMAPV) Scheme (Phase-II).

Scale: The work covers 46 schools situated in various districts throughout Odisha.

Contract Value: Approximately ₹252.80 crore (excluding GST).

Unlike direct construction contracts, this order is for Project Management Consultancy (PMC). In this capacity, NBCC will be responsible for the planning, supervision, and quality control of the infrastructure development at these 46 primary schools. This aligns with NBCC's core competency in managing large-scale social infrastructure projects for state and central government bodies.

This domestic order highlights NBCC's continued expansion into regional infrastructure development and its role in supporting state-level educational missions. By facilitating the "Adarsha Prathamika Vidyalaya" (Model Primary School) scheme, NBCC is contributing to the modernization of grassroots education facilities in Odisha.
