City Union Bank Expands Footprint with Seven New Branches

City Union Bank Limited (CUB) has officially announced a significant expansion of its physical banking network. In a regulatory filing submitted to both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE Limited, the bank confirmed the simultaneous opening of seven new branches across four different Indian states.
With these additions, the bank's total network has now reached 987 branches.
Regional Expansion Breakdown
The new branches represent a strategic push into diverse markets, ranging from southern strongholds to northern and eastern urban centers:
Karnataka: A new branch has been established in the Sahakar Nagar area of Bengaluru.
Uttar Pradesh: The bank strengthened its presence in the north with two new locations in Mathura (Damplyar Nagar) and Varanasi (Shivpur).
West Bengal: Two branches were inaugurated in the North 24 Parganas District, specifically in Salt Lake (Sector 1) and Barasat.
Tamil Nadu: Expanding its home-state footprint, branches were opened in Therkku Veeravanallur (Tirunelveli District) and Agraharasamakulam (Coimbatore District).

Bengaluru - Sahakar Nagar: Ground Floor, Ward No. 08, Sahakar Nagar, Karnataka.
Mathura: Near State Bank Chauraha, Damplyar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
Varanasi - Shivpur: Shivpur Coat 187, Uttar Pradesh.
Therkku Veeravanallur: Tirunelveli - Ambasamudram Main Road, Tamil Nadu.
Agraharasamakulam: AGN Complex, Athipalayam, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Salt Lake: Sector 1, Kolkata, West Bengal.
Barasat: Krishna Nagar Road, Nabapally, West Bengal.
The bank, which is headquartered in Kumbakonam, continues to move closer to the milestone of 1,000 branches as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
Shares of City Union Bank Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 262.75 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 265.55. The total number of shares traded during the day was 183652 in over 7234 trades.
