Eicher Motors Ltd reports strong sales momentum for December 2025

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV), an unlisted subsidiary of Eicher Motors Limited and a key player in India's commercial vehicle market, reported strong sales momentum for December 2025. Total Eicher Trucks and Buses (inclusive of EVs) reached 10,177 units, up 26.7% from 8,035 units in December 2024. Year-to-date (YTD) FY26 sales stood at 67,762 units, a 13.6% increase from 59,641 units in FY25.
Overall VECV sales (inclusive of EVs) hit 10,384 units in December (+24.7% YoY from 8,324), with YTD at 69,597 units (+13.2% YoY from 61,486).
Domestic Sales Breakdown - December 2025
VECV's domestic volumes totaled 9,527 units, up 26.3% from 7,545 units.
SCV/LMD Trucks (<18.5T): 5,258 units (+44.4% YoY from 3,641); YTD: 33,503 units (+18.7%).
HD Trucks (≥18.5T): 2,622 units (+22.7% YoY from 2,137); YTD: 16,264 units (+6.5%).
LMD Bus: 1,430 units (-9.9% YoY from 1,588); YTD: 11,458 units (+1.3%).
HD Bus: 217 units (+21.2% YoY from 179); YTD: 1,222 units (-7.1%).
Exports Performance - December 2025
Exports grew to 650 units (+32.7% YoY from 490), with YTD at 5,315 units (+51.3% YoY from 3,514).
SCV/LMD: 362 units (+13.5%); YTD: 3,180 units (+40.9%).
HD: 85 units (+112.5%); YTD: 769 units (+133.7%).
Bus: 203 units (+55.0%); YTD: 1,366 units (+47.2%).
Volvo Trucks & Buses
Sales stood at 207 units in December (-28.4% YoY from 289); YTD: 1,835 units (-0.5% YoY from 1,845).
VECV's December results were propelled by robust demand in small and light/medium-duty trucks, alongside export gains, despite some softness in buses. The company's EV integration and expanding global reach position it strongly for FY26 amid logistics recovery.
Shares of Eicher Motors Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 7347.70 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 7312.10. The total number of shares traded during the day was 4771 in over 1331 trades.
