D-Link (India) Limited half yearly sales up 7.48%, Networking & cabling product sales zoom by 30.94%

Mumbai, 26th October 2006: D-Link India Ltd. - India’s premier networking hardware company today announced its results for the quarter ending 30th September 2006. The company ended the quarter with gross sales at Rs 780.24 million, adding up to Rs 1482.09 million during the first half of the financial year. This shows an increase of 7.48% over the corresponding half during the fiscal 2005-06. The corresponding quarterly results for the previous year stood at Rs 786.13 million.

The topline for the quarter was driven by increased sales of the company’s networking & cabling products which grew by 30.94% to reach Rs 491.55 million, compared to Rs 375.38 million during the corresponding quarter of the previous year. In line with the company’s strategy, the motherboard business registered a 43.3% drop in sales reaching Rs 156.07 million as compared to Rs 275.24 million during the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

"The quarter has been a steady one for the company. Our core products have performed well and this augurs well for the company. A clear focus on the enterprise and channel business has helped boost sales for our networking products," adds Mr KR Naik, Chairman & Managing Director, D-Link India Ltd.

The net profit for the quarter ending 30th September 2006 stood at Rs 64.5 million while for the half year this figure stood at Rs 102.9 million.
