Wipro net profit at Rs.620.4 Crores on total revenue Rs.2261.9 Crores

Wipro Ltd has announced the following Audited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2006:

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 6191 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 (Q1 FY 06-07) as compared to Rs 4049 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q1 FY 05-06). Total Income has increased from Rs 20355 million in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 30519 million for Q1 FY 06-07.

On a consolidated basis, the Group has posted a profit for the period (after minority interest) of Rs 6204 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 (Q1 FY 06-07) as compared to Rs 4280 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q1 FY 05-06). Total Revenues has increased from Rs 22619 million in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 31425 million for Q1 FY 06-07.
