Salzer Electronics Wins Landmark Smart Lighting Contract from BBMP, Reinforces Focus on Energy Efficiency

Salzer Electronics Limited, a leading manufacturer of a wide range of electrical products, has secured a work order from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) for the implementation of an Energy Efficiency Project in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The project involves installation of a Centralized Control and Monitoring System (CCMS) for street lights, along with the replacement of existing conventional streetlights with energyefficient LED lamps, across the East Zone and part of the Bommanahalli Zone of BBMP.

Valued at ₹ 192 crore, the project will be executed in consortium with Schnell Energy Equipments Private Limited and is scheduled for completion within eight months. The total contract value will be received over a period of 84 months, as per the agreed payment terms.

At the core of this project is our in-house developed Energy Management System, a testament to Salzer's robust R&D capabilities and commitment to innovation. Our dedicated research and development team has consistently focused on building high-end technical and engineering solutions that not only meet current market demands but also anticipate future needs.

The project involves the installation of a state-of-the-art Centralized Control and Monitoring System (CCMS) and the replacement of conventional streetlights with energy-efficient LED lamps across the East Zone and parts of the Bommanahalli Zone in Bengaluru. This initiative not only supports BBMP's vision for a greener and smarter city, but also aligns with our broader strategy to contribute to India's energy efficiency goals.

We are proud to be executing this project in consortium with Schnell Energy Equipments Private Limited, a company with deep expertise in street light management and smart infrastructure. To ensure seamless and efficient execution, Salzer and Schnell will establish a dedicated Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the implementation and ongoing management of the project. With an execution timeline of eight months and a payment schedule spread over 84 months, this project represents a long-term, impactful engagement-both from a business and societal perspective."

Shares of Salzer Electronics Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1066.45 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1053.20. The total number of shares traded during the day was 14602 in over 1241 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1085.35 and intraday low of 1038.90. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 15523850.00.
