Welspun Michigan Engineers Limited (WMEL), a subsidiary of Welspun Enterprises Limited (WEL), in joint venture with Aaradhyaa & Co (WMEL-ANC JV) has been awarded a prestigious contract by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for upgrading the Haji Ali Storm Water Pumping Station in G/S Ward, Mumbai. WMEL holds a 75% stake in the joint venture.
The contract, valued at Rs. 328.12 Crore (with GST), includes the upgradation of the storm water pumping station, along with complete mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and automation systems and civil repair works. The project is scheduled for completion within 18 months (excluding monsoons). Additionally, the contract encompasses a comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) phase for 15 years.
This contract is one of the largest projects secured by WMEL in the pumping station segment and is the second pumping station order secured by the Company in recent times, following the February, 2025 contract for the design and construction of the Mogra Storm Water Pumping Station in Mumbai's K/W Ward.
The outstanding order book of WMEL as on February 28, 2025 was Rs. 2,706.87 Crore (excluding GST). With the addition of Haji Ali Storm Water Pumping Station order of Rs. 208.55 Crore (75% of the contract value, excluding GST), the outstanding order book now stands at Rs 2,915.42 Crores.

Shares of Welspun Enterprises Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 507.90 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 519.20. The total number of shares traded during the day was 26030 in over 1476 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 529.00 and intraday low of 505.95. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 13274673.00.
