Ashok Leyland Ltd's sales volume for May 2024 up 12% YoY

Ashok Leyland Ltd has announced the sales figures for the month of May 2024.

The company has sold total of 14682 units in May 2024, as against 13134 units in May 2023 registering YoY growth of 12%.

M&HCV sales increased 12% YoY to 9243 units in May 2024, compared to 8270 units in May 2023. Sales of M&HCV Bus jumped 53% YoY to 2463 units in May 2024 vs 1610 units in May 2023. The sales of M&HCV Trucks increased 2% YoY to 6780 units in May 2024, compared to 6660 units in May 2023. The sales of LCV was at 5439 units in May 2024, compared to 4864 units in May 2023 registering YoY growth of 12%.

The company reported total sales of 28953 units during the period April 2024 to May 2024, registering a growth of 11% YoY over sales of 26108 units during the period April 2023 to May 2023 aided by the higher sales of M&HCV buses segment. The M&HCV Trucks segment reported only marginal increase during the period. The sales of LCVs also increased 7% YoY at 10587 units during the period April 2024 to May 2024 compared to 9905 units during the period April 2023 to May 2023.

Shares of Ashok Leyland Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 224.00 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 219.60. The total number of shares traded during the day was 1106554 in over 14609 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 225.70 and intraday low of 219.75. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 246551163.00.
