Eicher Motors Limited posts YoY growth of 9.7% in May 2024 sales volume

Eicher Motors Limited has made an announcement with respect to sales volume of VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), an unlisted subsidiary of the company for the month of May 2024.

VECV reported sales of 6901 units in May 2024, 9.7% increase over sales of 6289 units in May 2023. Domestic sales stood at 6,304 units in May 2024, compared to 5,826 units in May 2023 registering a YoY growth of 8.2%. Exports stood at 415 units in May 2024, up by 66% YoY compared to 250 units in May 2023. Sales of Volvo Trucks & Buses was at 182 units in May 2024, against 213 units in May 2023, a drop of 14.6% YoY.

VECV reported sales of 12,278 units during the period April 2024 to May 2024, 4.5% YoY drop over sales of 12,856 units during the period April 2023 to May 2023. Domestic sales dropped 6.4% YoY at 11,202 units during the period April 2024 to May 2024, compared to 11,968 units during the period April 2023 to May 2023. Exports increased 52.1% YoY to 771 units during the period April 2024 to May 2024, compared to 507 units during the period April 2023 to May 2023. Sales of Volvo Trucks & Buses dropped 19.9% YoY to 305 units during the period April 2023 to May 2024, against 381 units during the period April 2023 to May 2023.

Shares of Eicher Motors Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 4727.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 4744.40. The total number of shares traded during the day was 13098 in over 4825 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 4775.50 and intraday low of 4667.85. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 61652273.00.
