Airtel celebrates 1.2 million 5G customers in Jharkhand

Bharti Airtel ("Airtel"), one of India's leading telecommunications service providers, today announced that it has 1.2 million customers enjoying 5G service in the state of Jharkhand. The company has successfully deployed 5G service across all districts in Jharkhand reflecting a promising shift towards offering next-generation mobile connectivity.

Airtel has registered a significant increase in active 5G users in the past 6 months in Jharkhand. The company has extensively rolled out its network, making its services available across all districts and villages making it more convenient for customers to upgrade to 5G. From the Jubilee Park of Jamshedpur to renowned pilgrimage site of Deoghar to tranquil sceneries of Netarhat and expanding to Patratu Valley as well as Maithon Dam, Airtel continues to complete its rollout across Jharkhand.

In order to make affordable devices accessible to users, Airtel also collaborated with Poco to offer sub10K 5G smartphones, which helped to grow its overall 5G user base in the country. Retail expansion in the region to increase physical format of stores has further augmented consumer connect to help customers upgrade conveniently to 5G service.

Shares of Bharti Airtel Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1225.20 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1229.30. The total number of shares traded during the day was 255730 in over 15303 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1231.85 and intraday low of 1219.35. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 313249700.00.
