Hindustan Zinc announces Q1 net profit of Rs.874 Crores

Hindustan Zinc Ltd has announced the following unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2006:

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 8740 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 (Q1 FY 06-07) as compared to Rs 1480 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q1 FY 05-06). Total Income has increased from Rs 5440 million in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 16570 million for Q1 FY 06-07.
