SJVN Synchronizes Second Unit of Naitwar Mori HEP with National Grid

SJVN Ltd has successfully synchronized the Second Unit of 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Electric Project ("NMHEP") with the National Grid. NMHEP is located on River Tons, a major tributary of River Yamuna in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.

The NMHEP is Run of the River project with two generating units of 30 MW each and first unit is already generating commercially since 24th of this month. The project will generate 265.5 million units of electricity annually. The Company has constructed 37 km 220 KV Transmission Line for evacuation of power from Naitwar Mori HEP from Bainol to Snail.

After commissioning of the Project, 12% free electricity will be supplied to the State of Uttarakhand as royalty. In addition, each Project Affected Family will be provided with an amount equivalent to cost of 100 Units of electricity per month for ten years. The Project will usher an era of overall development of the area with infrastructure development and generation of direct & indirect employment.

Shares of SJVN Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 84.36 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 84.37. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3708332 in over 11491 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 86.20 and intraday low of 83.65. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 315429019.00.
