Gail India Ltd announces Q1 net profit of Rs.592.08 Crores

Gail India Ltd has announced the following Unaudited Results for the quarter ended June 30, 2006:

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 5920.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 (Q1 FY 06-07) as compared to Rs 4834.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q1 FY 05-06). Total Income* has increased from Rs 36741.40 million in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 48104.00 million for Q1 FY 06-07.

* Total Income is including Internal Consumption.
