Panacea Biotec inaugurates pharmaceutical formulation facility at Baddi & new marketing office at Mumbai

Panacea Biotec Ltd. has announced that a new pharmaceutical formulation facility of ´soft gelatin capsules´ at Baddi Complex of the company´s premises was inaugurated on July 15,2006. The annual capacity of the new soft gelatin capsule plant at Baddi is around 150 million soft gelatin capsules on single shift basis. Earlier, in April this year, the Company has started production of oral dosage forms with an annual capacity of 900 million tablets; 12 million ointment tubes, 120 million hard gelatin capsules and 12 million bottles of oral Liquids at Baddi. This world class facility complies with USFDA and UK-MHRA requirements. This new dosage form of soft gelatin capsules is a new addition to the Baddi facility. It will be used to manufacture products intended for developed markets and Latin American markets, viz. Panimun Bioral (Cyclosporine) etc, in addition to the domestic market. Further, the new marketing office with total covered area of around 22,000 sq. ft. at Saki Naka, Mumbai has also been inaugurated on July 13,2006.
