Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, sold 390,932 units of two-wheelers in November 2022, a growth of 12% over the corresponding month of the previous year (November 2021), when the company had sold 349,393 units.
Hero MotoCorp expects the momentum to build-up in the coming quarters on account of favorable economic indicators, including encouraging farm activity and positive consumer sentiments along with upcoming marriage season.
During the month, VIDA, the emerging mobility brand of Hero MotoCorp, launched its first Experience Center in Bengaluru, thereby, offering an immersive and a completely differentiated experience to customers. VIDA will open Experience Centers next in Jaipur and Delhi. The deliveries of much awaited VIDA V1 are expected to commence from the second week of December 2022.
Under its flagship platform for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) - Hero WeCare, the company also handed over 50 motorcycles and 10 scooters to the Gurugram Police. The vehicles will be used by the department to enhance the mobility of police personnel responsible for ensuring the safety of women and controlling other crimes across the region.
Hero MotoCorp also announced the off-Road Riding Champion after concluding the first edition of the Hero Dirt Biking Challenge (HDBC). Asad Khan emerged as the champion after the final race in a contest that witnessed great participation from riders and enthusiasts across the country. During the past few months, over 100,000 participants registered for the HDBC and after a rigorous nationwide contest that ran across four stages, 41 cities and over 120 days, the Top-20 were short listed. The HDBC will soon be telecast over MTV and streamed over Voot.
Shares of Hero MotoCorp Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 2869.85 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 2851.70. The total number of shares traded during the day was 13897 in over 1508 trades.
