IndiGo commences direct flights between Mumbai and Gwalior

In-line with its vision to further strengthen regional connectivity, IndiGo, India's leading airlines commences direct flights from Mumbai to Gwalior from November 15,2022. This new route is being introduced in response to increasing demand and to improve accessibility.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, IndiGo said, "As per the current trends, demand for air travel is on the rise helping the industry bounce back to pre-covid levels. We are making continuous efforts to improve domestic connectivity and as part of those endeavor we are thrilled to announce the launch of direct flights between Mumbai and Gwalior. This flight will certainly provide our customers with more options and improve accessibility. The flight will connect Madhya Pradesh's winter capital to local and international destinations via Mumbai and Delhi. We will continue to uphold our promise of providing a courteous, on-time, hassle-free, and affordable travel experience."

The enhanced connectivity between Mumbai and Gwalior will help promote tourism as both Gwalior and Mumbai have many tourist attractions. Gwalior has famous attractions such as Gwalior Fort, Jai Vilas Palace, Man Mandir Palace, Suraj Kund, Gopachal Parvat, Padavali and Bateshwar, Tansen Memorial, Sun Temple, and Sarafa Bazaar. The direct flights will not only promote tourism but also make travel affordable to these destinations through direct connections and additional capacity.

Shares of InterGlobe Aviation Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1747.95 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1764.25. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3707 in over 505 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1771.05 and intraday low of 1740.55. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 6515405.00.
