BALCO declared successful bidder for Barra Coal Block

BALCO has been declared as the successful bidder for Barra Coal Block, located in Raigarh district, Chhattisgarh under Tranche IV of the commercial coal block auction conducted by Ministry of Coal. The coal block is an optimal fit for BALCO, given its logistical location. The block has estimated reserves of 900 million tonnes. Once operational, it will provide fuel security, improve power availability, and further strengthen BALCO's operations and performance.

Shares of Vedanta Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 279.70 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 279.95. The total number of shares traded during the day was 288404 in over 4742 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 284.45 and intraday low of 279.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 81130815.00.
