UTI AMC appoints Mr. Karthikraj Lakshmanan as Fund Manager - Equity

UTI Asset Management Company Limited (UTI AMC) has appointed Mr. Karthikraj Lakshmanan as Senior Vice President & Fund Manager - Equity, for its mutual fund operations with effect from July 01, 2022.

Regarding the appointment, Mr. Vetri Subramaniam, Chief Investment Officer, UTI AMC said "We are pleased to welcome Karthikraj to the UTI family. With his rich experience in fund management and research, Karthikraj adds diversity and expertise to our Equity Fund Management team."

Mr. Lakshmanan joins UTI AMC with around 17 years of experience in the Fund Management and Research. Prior to this appointment, he was working with Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management as a Senior Fund Manager, where he managed the Large Cap, Consumption and Aggressive Hybrid funds. He was previously associated with ICICI Prudential AMC in the PMS division handling research, Goldman Sachs in the Global Investment Research division and the Credit Middle Office in the Wholesale Banking Group of ICICI Bank.

Mr. Lakshmanan has cleared Chartered Financial Analyst level 3 and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance Management. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Accountants of India and has a bachelor's degree in Commerce.

Shares of UTI Asset Management Company Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 727.65 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 692.35. The total number of shares traded during the day was 10501 in over 1072 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 732.15 and intraday low of 691.80. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 7529821.00.
