Larsen and Toubro Ltd appoints Mr. Anil V Parab as Whole-time Director

The Board of Directors of Larsen and Toubro Ltd at its Meeting held on 26th July 2022 has appointed Mr. Anil. V. Parab (DIN: 06913351) as Whole-time Director of the Company for a term of five years with effect from August 5, 2022.

Mr. Anil. V. Parab (AVP) is a Graduate Mechanical Engineer from V.J.T.I., Mumbai. He joined L&T as a GET on Powai Heavy Engineering shopfloor in 1982. As a part of L&T 7- Steps Leadership development program he was mentored by Mr. A.M. Naik and acquired Senior Executive Management Education from London Business School & Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad). He studied L&T sponsored Computer Aided Manufacturing from IIT, Mumbai.

AVP is Member of the L&T Executive Management Committee. He is currently the Senior Vice President & Head - L&T Heavy Engineering IC. He is also a Director of L&T Heavy Engineering and L&T Special Steels and Heavy Forgings Private Limited.

AVP is Chairman of Capital Goods & Strategic Skill Council of India (CGSC), promoted by Ministry of Heavy Industry & FICCI. He is Co-Chair of FICCI, Capital Goods & Public Procurement National Committees. He is member of CII Manufacturing National Committee and actively interacts with various Ministries.

AVP possess vast experience in Technology, Business development & dealing with unions (played important role in closing of Powai manufacturing & streamlining Hazira operations in 2014, after 5 months labour strike). During his career he successfully led teams to execute ITER project in France and created many new global benchmarks in Nuclear and Process Plant manufacturing. He successfully started a new business of Modification, Revamp & Upgrades (MRU) - value added shutdown services to key customers. He also implemented latest Digital manufacturing Industry 4.0 IIoT workstations at A M Naik Heavy Engineering Complex.

AVP is a Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE). He is member of Program Advisory Committee of Department of Science & Technology.

AVP is a Senate member of IIT Jammu & officiate on Board of Trustees of Indian Nuclear Society.

Mr. Parab is a keen Sportsman - Swimming, long distance Cycling & Running being his favourite. His family includes wife, son, daughter in law & a granddaughter.

Shares of Larsen & Toubro Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1750.45 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1781.90. The total number of shares traded during the day was 61480 in over 4178 trades.
