Bajaj Auto clocks sales volume of 2,75,868 units in May 2022

Bajaj Auto Limited has announced the sales performance for the month of May 2022. The company has reported total sales of 275,868 units in May 2022 as against 271,862 units in May 2021, registering a growth of 1% YoY. The company clocked exports sales of 163,560 units during May 2022, 22% lower than 211,032 units in May 2021. The domestic sales increased 85% YoY to 112,308 in May 2022 as against 60,830 units in May 2021.

Commercial Vehicles sales dropped 16% YoY to 26,369 units in May 2022, as compared to 31,308 in May 2021. Exports of Commercial Vehicles was at 10,163 units in May 2022, as against 30,820 in May 2021. Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles increased 3221% in May 2022 to 16,206 units as compared to 488 units in May 2021.

The company has sold 249,499 units of two-wheelers during May 2022, as compared to 240,554 in May 2021, a growth of 4% YoY. Exports of motorcycles was down 15% YoY at 153,397 in May 2022, as against 180,212 in May 2021. The domestic sales of motorcycles increased 59% YoY to 96,102 units in May 2022 as compared to 60,342 units in May 2021.

The change percentage in above figures are not comparable due to impact of second wave of COVID-19 last year.

Shares of Bajaj Auto Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 3720.45 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 3862.95. The total number of shares traded during the day was 18684 in over 2912 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 3901.75 and intraday low of 3707.35. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 70508796.00.
